In response to the growing needs of the communities where the Sea Harvest Group operates, the Sea Harvest Foundation Not-for-Profit Company (NPC) held its third annual Golf Day at the Langebaan Country Estate on Thursday, 17 October 2024. Eighty-eight enthusiastic golfers, including employees, subsidiaries, and suppliers participated in the 4-ball competition. The Diazville High School Golf team was also invited to practice their golfing skills at the Mashie Golf Course.
According to Terence Brown, Board Chairman of the Sea Harvest Foundation, “The Foundation is geared towards socio economic development. Its key focus areas are education and youth development; health and wellness; and community development. The desired outcome is for beneficiaries to gain access to the economy and, thereby, empower themselves, their families and local communities to thrive in all spheres of life, including financial and social.”
While the Sea Harvest Foundation was registered as an NPC and a Public Benefit Organization in 2017, it has been contributing to the welfare of local communities since 1998. Over 220 applications for donations were submitted to the Foundation by individuals and organisations throughout the Western Cape in 2024.
